Fetch 4 serial number problems (4 posts)

I've encountered an issue that I can't seem to get around. The machine in question is a Macintosh, PowerBook G4, running OS-9. My company purchased a five user license for version 5, but of course I needed to download and install version 4 onto the PB. There had been a previous copy of Fetch 4 on this machine that was a registered copy, which is no longer on the machine. However, when I installed the copy I downloaded, and run it, it's picking up on the old user name and serial number information. How can I remove the old information, and get the new user name and serial number info in there. I tried dumping all three of the Fetch pref files in the System folder, but that did not help. I even did a search on the machine for invisible files related to Fetch, but did not find any. Thanks.

Hold down Control and Option as you start Fetch 4. You should be asked to purchase a license or enter a serial number. Click the Enter Serial button, and enter your new serial number name and serial number.

Jim, sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but it took a bit before I could actually try this out. Obviously that did the trick. Thank you for the quick response.
