I am a long time Fetch user -- paid license for 3.0 -- and I notice that when running fetch 4.0 in classic, my saved column width prefs are honored (I like a wide date column so I can see the full timestamp) but in Mac OS X (running 10.0.2) the extra wide date column that I arrange on a visit to a particular ftp site is gone the next time I visit the site.

I find it annoying to always have to re-size the date column each time I open a fetch window.

    Any suggestions/work-arounds?

Sounds like a bug -- I'll look into it.

One trick that might help in the meantime is that double-clicking on a column title divider (the thing you drag to resize a column) resizes the columns in a semi-intelligent way.

    Thanks for the quick follow-up.

Yes, the double-click on separator step does work well for what I want: clicking on the left column separator does widen the date column so I can see the full date.

    Thanks.

on a separate column note, i'm unable to change the width of the window to anything thinner than 649. it started out normal and now is locked to where i can't minimize it anymore than that. perhaps i'm just missing something. also, when i select one of my shortcuts with a directory, the tab flips open to reveal the directory and makes it difficult to quickly click in. both of these are extremely minor and i'm just curious if there's a way to get around them.

i just switched from version 3 and the new version rocks!

Yes, the minimum width is too wide; I will look into fixing that.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the tab flips open".

    Thanks,

like i mentioned before, this is a small issue, that i've found a way around, however...

the window that pops up on launch, "New Connection", has a shortcuts pull down in it. when you select one of those shortcuts that has an "initial directory", the "New Connection" window expands to show it and the "OK" button moves down. this causes the user - myself - to click in the "Initial Directory" box instead of the "OK" button.

    thanks.
