This is great. I'm a Userland Frontier user and I discovered that Fetch 4.0.1 didn't behave properly when using the old Anarchie suite scripts. It would do things like put the file if the file wasn't already there, but if it was it wouldn't overrite it with the new, modified file. I tried the beta and the old scripts work fine.
Now I just use the old routines for my sites which use cleartext passwords, and I have a modified routine that I use with MIT which uses the Kerberos Client and GSS security.
I can't get the olds cripts to work using secure methods since even if a secure window is open, the Anarchie suite causes a cleartext window to open for the transfer.
What's the ETA on secure shell fetch so I can stop using a tunnel to update our website at work?
Keep up the good work!

I'm glad that 4.0.2b1 is working for you. SFTP support is planned for this fall, but that isn't a firm date.
Thanks,

RE: Fetch 4.0.2b1
I can now use command-J (OSX.1) to edit a file on the server, but when I save, it saves to a temp file on the local disk. I only had the program a short time before this stopped working when OSX updated, but, as I recall, a save would save it back to the server from whence it came.
Is the an anomaly or must I do something/set something?
Thanks,
Ronald

The "Edit with BBEdit" feature uses a local temporary file to hold the file while it is being edited and uploaded. When you choose "Save" in BBEdit, BBEdit saves the temporary file and tells Fetch to upload it.
In your experience is Fetch uploading the file when you choose "Save" in BBEdit?
Thanks,

Thanks for 4.0.2.
I just got a G4 dual processor and noticed that Fetch was using 50% of CPU on both processors when it was just sitting there.
I was ready to bail to Interarchy only it won't read my Fetch shortcuts file, where all my passords are stored ;)
At that point I found this, and it *does* seem to be behaving better.
Thanks!
