From the 'Apple menu' if you select either 'About Fetch...' or 'Check for upgrade...' all you get is a standard system beep.
I don't have other reports of that -- has anyone else seen this problem?
If you select multiple files (2 or more) & click 'Get Files...' it presents you will a different dialogue box. This box has an 'Open' button rather than a 'Save' button, but shows no files only folders.
It should have a "Choose" button, to let you choose the folder where you'd like to save the files. There really isn't a standard way to ask the user where to put multiple files, so this is the best that I've come up with.
Thanks for the report,
Jim Matthews

Ok, the interface is a little different to what I was looking for.
If I select a folder I can 'Choose' to save files in it.
But the problem is that the interface for saving multiple files is different to the interface for saving single files. I wasn't expecting the interface to change between single & multiple downloads.
In GraphicConverter a dialog box like your multiple file save is used by the Slide Show. You 'Choose' the folder that you want to display as a slide show. So having 'Choose' looks like an open dialogue box (to me).
In my opinion the interface for single downloads is better.
It makes more sense to see a 'Save' button to select where to save the files.
Click 'Save' to save all the files in the current directory, like single save.Possibly you could Fetch save to a folder if one is selected, or to the current folder if one is not selected. (Possibly even changing the button between 'Choose' and 'Save' depending on which you are doing.)

The a report of some bugs I have found in Fetch 4.0b4
1. From the 'Apple menu' if you select either 'About Fetch...' or 'Check for upgrade...' all you get is a standard system beep.
2. When connected to an FTP server if you select 1 file & click 'Get File...' it presents you will a save dialog box, & will save the file if you click 'Save'.
If you select multiple files (2 or more) & click 'Get Files...' it presents you will a different dialogue box. This box has an 'Open' button rather than a 'Save' button, but shows no files only folders.
Multiple file download by draging them from Fetch to a folder works.
