Strange, now it's working again, I can resize without
freezing. Not sure if this is related or just coincidence, but all I did was modify the toolbar buttons.OK, so ... never mind, all set for now.

Hi,
We're glad to hear your problem is fixed. We've had very rare reports of the same problem (so rare that we've never been able to reproduce it in order to fix it), and - believe it or not - the solution is usually to fiddle with the toolbar, as you did.
Please let us know if you run into the problem again, and we'll investigate further.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Glad to know I wasn't imagining things.
p.s. If it would help, I did manage to captured a sample from Activity Monitor
when it hung, before I had edited the toolbar. -

Hi,
Yes, if you still have the sample from Activity Monitor, please send it to us at:
bb at fetchsoftworks dot com
Also, do you remember what change you made to your toolbar that made the problem go away?
And do you have your toolbar icons set to "small size" or "icon only" or "text only"?
Thanks!

Toolbar changes ...
I think I originally had the default config.
When I started editing it, I accidentally removed my entire toolbar, so dragged the default set then modified it. Can't remember each step or what I played with in between, but I ended up with this:Back, Path, Recent, (Sep), Get, Put, Parent, (Sep), Edit, View, GetInfo, Delete, (FlexSpace), (Sep), NewFolder, WebView, (FlexSpace), GoToFolder.
My settings are (and were) "iconxt" and "use small size".
I will send the Activity Monitor sample.

Suddenly today fetch started freezing as soon as I resize the window. It connects to the server okay and lists the files, but then freezes as soon as I resize, and I have to force quit. I have not upgraded yet, still on 5.2.1, with OSX 10.4.11/Intel.
ps It's not just when connecting to my own server account, it also happens if connecting to ftp.fetchsoftworks,com.
