Hi, finally upgraded to 5.7.1 which I put off as long as I could, because typically I am not happy w/ upgrades because SOMETHING usually changes that affects me in my work. I'm sure there are all kinds of backend, invisible benefits that really don't affect me -- but now your Fetch windows are un-resizeable on my screen and it is really annoying me. I have 2 Fetch windows open at a time all day and my vision screen space is premium. How annoying of all the things you change, I can't resize them and make them less wide now?
Its VERY annoying - I personally am so sick of companies upgrading stuff and making them worse instead of better for the worker in the so-called name of "more security" . And I won't take your upgrade again unless you FIX that -- no matter how many times I have to shut out your daily bothersome popups to go away.

Hi,
I'm sorry that Fetch 5.7.1 isn't working for you. Could you send a screenshot of your Fetch windows the way you like them (i.e. in the older version) to bugs@fetchsoftworks.com ? I'm not sure when we changed the minimum width for windows, but we could take a look at that decision again.
If you don't want to be notified about a new version any more, click the Skip button, and you shouldn't see an alert until there's an even newer version.
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

Thanks, Jim. I can't really take a screenshot of the old way it was because ... I have the new way. lol
Really don't know about taking the update .. off? Undoing it?
I can take a screen shot when I get back to work - its just there's so much wasted space imo, so I will take a screenshot of it Monday.Thanks. It would be great if they could fix that - and let us know it is fixed in advance so we can choose whether an update is really USEFUL to us.

You can download an older version of Fetch from http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/download . You don't need to install it to take the screenshot -- you can just open it from the disk image.

Hi,
i have a 10 user licence that i use when installed a 5.0.4 version a long time ago.
I just want to insure that my key will work for the newest version as this is an enterprise environment and if i can re-use old keys that would be ideal.
thanks.

Hi Mitch,
If your serial number starts "FETCH55" it will work in Fetch 5.7. If it starts "FETCH5X" you will need to purchase an upgrade; for more information see http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/upgrade

I purchased Fetch some time ago and have the serial No. I tried to update 5.7 on my MacBook to 5.7.1 but keep getting a field to enter my password. I don't find any password for Fetch in my Password List. Where can I set that up or change it? It keeps saying password authentication failed. Works fine on my iMac.

Are you seeing the New Connection dialog, with Hostname, Username, and Password fields? You would get that information from your web hosting provider.

Hello,
I have some problems with fetch 5.7.1 activation. I have bought new macbook with lion and wanted to upgrade fetch to 5.7.1. Your form told me that my serial enables me to use it for free. But I can't. My serial starts with FETCHEX001. I don't know what to do;(

If Fetch is telling you that your serial number is incorrect, it could be that you have a character wrong (e.g. a 5 for an S), or the wrong Serial Number Name. I would recommend having us look up your serial number at http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/serial .
Thanks,
Jim Matthews
