  An experimental release of Fetch, Fetch 5.8.2b1, is now available for public beta testing. This release features the following changes:

  * Added native Apple Silicon support
  * Fixed a problem where dragged items were uploaded into the last folder of the file list
  * Fixed a problem with sorting the file list while searching
  * Fixed a problem with the Edit New Text file command
  * Fixed multiple problems with dragging items between transfer windows
  * Fixed a problem with the Fetch Transcript window appearing at startup
  * Added support for servers that use 0.0.0.0 for passive mode
  * Restored support for opening a transfer window by clicking on the Dock icon
  * Fixed a problem with clicking on transfer windows opened from Droplet Shortcuts
  * Fixed a problem with uploading items twice
  * Made item paths in Info windows copyable
  * Fixed a problem with up- and down-arrow keys when keyboard navigation is enabled
  * Fixed a problem with mirror downloads not deleting stray items
  * Fixed a problem with long paths being truncated in the Mirror window
  * Fixed a problem with editing or deleting files while renaming

  Hey Jim,

  Yay, "Edit new text file" works again!
  (When I close the new file without saving in BBEdit, I get the error below.)

  Did you work on the bug of the "Can't find file" error when trying to edit a file in BBE as well?

  Hi,

  When you get that error from BBEdit please do click on the help button to go to the web site, and follow the
  instructions there. That should resolve the problem.

  I have not worked on the file not found bug, so I don't have any news to report there.

  Hey,
  I clicked BBEs help button and found that Fetch was already listed and checked in BBE's macOS settings … still got the error and could not save. ( I have not yet upgraded to BBE 13.5 though.)

  The trial period works, i can't continue using the beta after two weeks. lol
  But it has a problem when the prompt is lauched. When you click on 'quit', the program keeps open, you have to force quit. (quit is grayed in Fetch menu, and doesn't work in the context menu on the dock icon.)

  i would continue reporting, but alas...

  thx anyway, you have a great app

  Hi io,

  Thanks for reporting this. I tried to reproduce the problem, but wasn't able to. Fetch 5.8.1 did quit for me when I clicked the Quit button, although it did take a few seconds.

  Thank you for fixing the auto-opening of the transcript window. :-)

  Please may I nudge the dirty-text problem, mentioned in post 890668.

  Hi Jim,

  without doing anything could use fetch again, for another trial period. The case is that the quit btn is greyed and can't use it, only 'enter license' and 'purchase' btn. Contextual doesn't work either. Had to force quit. And tried to run it after but runs only partially (opens the connection window but doesn't connect). And quit doesn't work. Forced it again.
