Fetch and File Permissions (2 posts)

I have been struggling with using an evaluation copy of Fetch for uploading PHP files to my server (Unix on OSX.3)

The problem I have been having is that files uploaded through Fetch seems to keep getting their permissions changed, and therefor don't run correctly. (Browser displays a blank white screen).

If I manually go to the file after it is uploaded, get info and change permissions to 555 then the php file runs fine. If I have to do this for every PHP file I upload it will be a real bummer.

Is there any way to get Fetch not to change the file permissions?

    Thanks,

    Steve

Fetch does not tell the server what permissions to use for uploaded files, but it sounds like your server is setting the permissions to a value that does not work. You could talk to the server administrator about changing the default preferences. And we'll investigate having Fetch preserve the file permissions for uploaded files.

    Thanks,
