  what is the syntax to send an an applescript command to retrieve all files in a remote server. i tried various syntax such as sendcommand command "get *.txt", sendcommand "get *.txt", etc. but they all fial.

  I assume you want to retrieve all the files in a particular folder on the server. You could say:

  download every remote file of transfer window 1

  after connecting to the folder in question. Does that answer your question?
