Fetch corrupting files after 2 transfers (2 posts)

A client is using Fetch 4.0.3 to transfer files between his Power Mac running 8.6 and an Intel based Mac running Snow Leopard. I believe everything was working fine during the trial period, but now that he has registered and activated using a serial number, it is no longer working as expected.

He can connect and "put" files onto the OSX machine with no problems. However, once he has completed 2 transfers, any additional files transferred are corrupted. He is transferring graphics files - jpeg, photoshop (psd), pdf, etc. Once transferred, they either cannot be opened (a popup appears announcing problems with layers are preventing the file from opening) or they open but have scrambled colors or portions of the image are in the wrong place, etc.

The only remedy I have found so far is to either quit and restart Fetch, or to reboot the Power Mac.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

I would make sure that your client is setting the transfer format to Raw Data before uploading graphics files. Let me know if that makes a difference.

    Thanks,
