Fetch could not get the file list because the ftp server sent an unexpected response (3 posts)

  Hello, In the middle of transporting files from 1 hostgator account to another fetch crashed. I started the program and now get this error message when I attempt to log back in. The message occurs specifically when Fetch is "Getting file list":

  "Fetch could not get the file list because the ftp server sent an unexpected response."

  an additional error message pops up when I continue to refresh:

  "Fetch could not open the folder "OK." because the FTP server says that the requested item could not be accessed."

  Below is a piece of the Fetch Transcript:

  "LIST
  425 Could not open data connection to port 50264: Connection refused PASV."

  Fetch works perfectly with my old Hostgator account but shows this error message when transferring files to the new account. Support at Hostgator use Filezilla and claim there is no problem on their side.

  Hi,

  Could you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu after you see this error and send the contents of that window to bugs@fetchsoftworks.com ? I'll take a look and see what I can figure out.

  I will send the "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu that you've requested + a forwarded response from Hostgator Support detailing their findings for additional clarity.
