I am using OS X.2.2 and Fetch 4.0.2

I have an FTP account that I can access through Dreamweaver, but when I try to access it through Fetch, I get the message:
"Error, if you do not disconnect your password will be sent over the network insecurely to a server that supports security."
With the options Ignore or Disconnect

If I press ignore then the little doggie runs with the message "getting file list" and nothing else happens. When I press the Stop button, it crashes with the message "The application Fetch has unexpectedly quit. The system and other applications have not been affected."

If I press Disconnect then it (obviously) doesn't connect).

    Any idea whats happening?

    Thanks,
    Christopher

There are three problems here. One is the warning that you can't do anything about. You can turn that off in the Security section of Preferences (it will be off by default in the next release of Fetch).

The second problem is the never ending "getting file list" state. I would suggest checking the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" box in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences.

Third, Fetch should not crash when you press Stop. That will be fixed in the next release.

    Thanks,
