    Weird, If I upload a folder that was made in Dreamweaver to a server of course Dreamweaver see it. If I access the same server with Fetch, Fetch does not see the folder.

    if I create a new folder in fetch with the same name as theone I created w/ DWeaver and upload using fetch I get an error telling me the folder with that name is already on the server

    any help?

    I'm in OS 10.6

    Hi Ralph,

    Fetch sometimes caches (stores) file lists locally in order to speed up their display. While it is designed to notice changes to file lists and get a fresh list when there are changes, on rare occasions the algorithm Fetch uses makes a mistake and shows you an out-of-date file list, which may not include all your files and folders. My guess is this what is happening to you.

    When this happens, you can tell Fetch to get an up-to-date file list from the server by going to the View menu and choosing Refresh. The missing files and folders should show up when you do that.

    You can also turn off the file list caching feature, so that Fetch always gets a fresh file list from the server, by doing the following:

    * Open Fetch.
    * Go to the Fetch menu, and choose Preferences.
    * Click the Miscellaneous tab.
    * Click the "Ignore file list cache" checkbox to put a check next to it.
    * Close the Preferences window.

    Displaying long file lists may be slowed down somewhat if you turn the file list cache off, but if your file lists are relatively short, you probably won't notice much difference.

    Please let us know if this does not fix the problem, or if you have further questions.

    Thanks,

    Scott, thanks for that explanation. Was wondering why one computer with Fetch 4.0.3 showed my updated Dreamweaver files, yet the other computer with Fetch 4.0.3 did not. Yet all was updated in any and all browsers.

    Refresh, yeah! Never knew this existed.
