Fetch Download running EXTREMELY slow (4 posts)

Hi,
Fetch downloads data more or less as quickly as the server sends it. It sounds like there is a problem with the server or network connection.
What sort of download speeds to you see if you download a file from ftp.fetchsoftworks.com (leave the Username and Hostname fields blank)?
Oh, and I should mention that Internet speed tests usually report speeds in bits per second, while Fetch reports transfer rates in bytes per second. There are 8 bits in a byte, so (for example) 24Mbit/sec is the same as 3Mbyte/sec.

The result is better 1.1MB vs. 13k. It must be the clients server? Appreciate your help.

Clearly the limit isn't Fetch or your Internet connection, so yes, it seems like an issue with the server or that server's connection to the Internet

Fetch download is running at 13k (yes, k) per second while internet connection tests show between 22-28MB per second. What gives? I've stopped the app, opened and restarted. On a Mac OSX 10.7.5.
Please help.
