I have been using Fetch downloaded from Mac App Store since 2013. Today, it suddenly not working properly. Error message : [Fetch] is damaged and can’t be opened. I have already tried to re-installed. Issue still existed. Please kindly help and give assistance. If you need any additional information. Please kindly let me know. Thanks.

Thanks to both of you for contacting me about this. It looks like there's a problem with the Mac App Store. Could you each submit a report by clicking the Get Started button at:

    https://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/

I have reported the problem to Apple, and hopefully if there are more reports they will fix the problem promptly.

    Thanks,

Opened Fetch this morning as usual, but it complained that it was not from this computer (i.e. not on my Apple ID) and then the OS prompted me for my Apple ID password. Then nothing, if I clicked on the app it didn't open at all. Checked my App Store Purchases and there it is as it should be.

I've fully deleted, restarted and reinstalled (from my Apple ID on the Mac App store) and still the same.

Support request submitted to Apple. They insist on the order ID, luckily I keep emails and invoices from that long back!

Annoyingly I will have lost all my presets now in the reinstalling process. Hope they fix this soon.

    Hi,

While we wait for Apple to fix this problem you should be able to use a trial copy of Fetch downloaded from

    http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/download/latest

You don't need a serial number during the 15 day trial period. Please let me know about any problems you encounter.

    Thanks,

Having exactly some problem an support historie as Jamie.
    1. A promt telling my that the app was bought with another AppleID.
    2. Typing the AppleID and password again, Fetch won't start.
    3. Deliting Fetch and downloading it again from AppStore, same result - won't start.
    4. Contacting AppStoreSupport- after a long investigation they insist that I have to contact the developer!

Conclusion; never ever buy trough AppStore again
(have a functionnelly Fetch running, downloaded directly from fetchsoftworks)

Used Fetch for years; love it! But same problem here as of today!
Now a big problem; can't upload new site for my clients.
I downloaded the trial version but I hope Apple fixes this problem within 14 days because I already paid for a license...

    Hi,

In at least a couple of cases re-downloading Fetch from the Mac App Store has fixed the problem we've been seeing since Wednesday. One note: if you downloaded a copy of Fetch from our website you should delete it (drag to the trash and empty trash), and then open the App Store app to re-download. Otherwise the App Store app will see the copy from the website and not offer to let you download.

If you try this please let me know how it goes!

    Thanks again for your patience,

    Hi!

We'd been having the same problem as others (damaged app...re-download...damaged app...loop).

This morning we deleted the Mac App Store version from yesterday, went to our Mac App Store purchases page, and re-downloaded.

The app loaded for us and let us login to our sites.

Whew! Have been using Fetch for 15 years or more and thought I might need to download/purchase direct again.

    Thanks for the help, Jim!

Just download the App-store version again and it works without problems!
Thanks for all the help Jim and others.
    Keep up the good work!

I had a second app fail on me this morning.

My previous contact with Apple support ended like this:
"Jamie, I am sorry for the inconvenience caused in this issue. As an iTunes Store Advisor, I handle issues related to customer accounts and billing. Although this is outside my normal areas of expertise, we do have some of the best technical support advisors to help with your download issue. This is the reason I have to refer you to the technical support Team to get the issue fixed. To save time, you can start a support request online. Just enter a quick description of the issue, and choose how and when you'd like to talk with them."

I didn't have time to go through yet another round of support, then today I found this article that explains the issue:
    http://appleinsider.com/articles/15/11/12/certificate-problems-causing-app-authentication-errors-for-some-mac-app-store-users

I've tried several times logging out of the Apps store and back in again previously and it didn't work, but I figured it was worth trying again.

This time the issue was fixed with the second app that failed today (I didn't enter the App Store password when it was asking on that one), but Fetch still didn't work.

Deleted Fetch, emptied the trash, restarted the App Store, re-installed Fetch, and now it's working again.

Looks like they may have silently fixed something, so might be worth another go for others too.

    Hope this helps.

Deleted the app, re-downloaded it from App Store and now its working. Thanks to Jim Matthews and filing a complain to apple support.

I deleted Fetch from applications and emptied the trash. Unfortunately, when I go to App Store it does not give me an option to Download the app again. All that's available is OPEN, which fails validation when I try that.

How do I get the App Store to let me download it again?

UPDATE: Okay, just had to do it again, and allowed me an installer. So we're good.

    Hi,

When App Store displays the Open button that usually means that it thinks Fetch is already installed. I would quit the App Store app and open it again. If it still shows Open for Fetch, rather than Install, I'd use Spotlight (command-space) to search for "Fetch". Hopefully that will turn up any stray copy of Fetch on your computer that may be confusing App Store. Drag that copy of Fetch to the Trash and empty the Trash to get rid of it.

    Thanks,
