    Fetch will not upload the link-manager.php file for Wordpress 2.3 and this is breaking the admin area once I log in.

    Why is Fetch not able to upload a 8 kb file?

    Here is what the transcript says:

    PASV

    Making data connection to 74.53.88.162 port 46332
    STOR link-manager.php
    150 Accepted data connection
    Update check skipped at 10/03/2007 10:08 PM (next check after 10/08/2007 01:20 PM)
    Unsuccessful transfer of link-manager.php (7,854/7,839 bytes, 15 bytes/sec, 8:31 elapsed) stopped at 10/3/07 10:16:11 PM (error: 1,60)
    ftp_store_close: 1,60 (state == RPUT_CLOSING)
    ABOR
    send_cmd():con_conn->Putline() returns 2,-50

    And here is the error I get once I log into my blog and access the link-manager.php file that Fetch choked on:

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 12 bytes) in /home/venikek8/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/cache.php on line 4

    I noticed that you contacted our regular support email address, but I don't see a confirmation from you that your problem was resolved there.

    Thanks,

    Hi Scott.

    The problem did persist and I had to contact Host Gator to get the person to help upload the file for me. Strangest thing I have ever seen.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the followup. We're glad to hear you got the problem fixed. While it does look like it was a server problem, please let us know if you run into a similar problem again.

    Best,
