    I am unable to GET uploaded files using Fetch. This is a recent occurrence (last week). I get a -1407 MacOS error. -1407 is "expecting a folder" error.

    Any ideas on this?

    Hi Anais,

    We'd like some more information to help diagnose the problem. Could you please do the following?

    * Quit Fetch, if it's running.
    * Open Fetch again.
    * Connect to your server.
    * Try downloading (getting) a file.
    * Then choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu, copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

    Thanks for the transcript.

    Could you please try the following?

    * Use Fetch to connect to ftp.fetchsoftworks.com (leave the username and password blank).
    * Try to download the "Fetch_5.3_Help.pdf" file you will see on that server.
    * Let us know if you can download that successfully, or if you get the same error.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

    Hi Anais,

    Thanks for the additional information.

    Unfortunately, we suspect that this is error indicates there may be a problem with your installation of Mac OS X.

    We recommend that you start your Mac from your Leopard install disc, run Disk First Aid, and repair the disk and repair permissions.

    Let us know if that resolves the problem or not.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

    What is the proper way to fully un-install Fetch? I would like to start there.

    And, can I save my shortcuts if I totally remove Fetch from my HD?

    Thanks.
