Fetch keeps crashing (4 posts)

  My version of Fetch 5.2.1 that I've been using successfully for over a couple of years is now crashing. I also downloaded the newest version and it crashes too. The only thing that has changes since the last time I used it last week is that I took down the latest software updates from MAC on Friday. I am running OS X version 10.4.11 on a MacBook Pro.

  I also ran Disk Utility to repair volumes, permissions and disk and all seems fine there. Any ideas what is up? Thanks.

  Hi,

  We'd like some more information in order to help diagnose your problem.

  Does Fetch crash when you try to open it, does it crash when you try to make a connection, or does it crash at some other point?

  Are you trying to connect using SFTP, FTP with SSL, or regular FTP?

  Do you have any of the following programs installed: Airfoil, Audio Hijack, or Nicecast?

  The program crashes as it attempts to open and does not ever get to the user interface. I am trying to make a regular FTP connection and I do not have any of the programs you listed installed.

  Hi,

  Thanks for the information.

  Could you mail your Fetch.crash.log to us? This should give us an idea of why Fetch is crashing.

  To find the Fetch.crash.log file:

  * Choose "Home" from the Go menu in the Finder
  * Open the Library folder
  * Open the Logs folder
  * Open the CrashReporter folder

  Please send it to:

  bugs at fetchsoftworks dot com

  along with a short description of the problem ("Fetch crashes on open").

  We'll take a look and try to figure out what the problem is.
