    Hello,

For some reasons my MacOS 9 users can't connect with FTP, but they can browse the internet (HTTP). My users are behind a Checkpoint Firewall-1 v4.1 SP5. An interesting note is that my PC users that are on the same subnet (also behind Checkpoint) are able to FTP to the internet.

I have only one rule that permits internet access and the FTP service is obviously part of it.

    What's going on with Fetch?

It's the nature of firewalls to break protocols like FTP, and make it the job of the FTP programs to find their way around the breakage. My guess is that the Windows machines have special software for tunneling through the firewall, or else their FTP clients are configured to use some sort of proxy server or gateway. Fetch 4.0.1 supports the same proxy servers as the most popular Windows FTP client, WS_FTP, so it may just be a matter of configuring Fetch the way the Windows FTP clients are configured.
