Fetch won't upload new files to website (5 posts)

    our company has been using fetch (trial version) for a while now and i guess we have over extended so we have purchased it. but now, when we want to upload a new file to our website it won't show the new copy on the website. it just keeps the old file.

    when i open fetch and open a client file which holds their cvs ( which have to updated all the time) then 'Put' a file by replacing the original. on the fetch software itself it shows the file has been replaced and updated. but then when i go on to our website, it has not.

    any thoughts!!??!

    Hi,

    I'd be happy to look into this further. Could you do the followinag:

    1) Upload a new file
    2) Choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu in Fetch
    3) Copy the entire contents of that window (Edit > Select All, Edit > Copy)
    4) Paste the transcript into the form at http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/feedback to send it to me. Also send the URL where I should be able to see the new file on your website (but the old file is showing up), and how I can tell the old file from the new file.

    Hi,

    When I go to that URL I see "(In-Production)" in blue under TRUMBO (actually, under "Groundswell Productions", which is under "TRUMBO"). What do you see?

    Have you tried reloading the page, or viewing the URL with a different web browser? It could be that you're getting a cached copy of the file.
