Yes, I am getting the exact same error message for the first time today. Used Fetch for years, no problems, and now this today:
“Fetch.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “Fetch.app” and download it again from the App Store.
I've deleted the app, deleted the preference files, restarted, reinstalled from the app store, and still the same message.

I got the same error message!
"Fetch" is damaged and can't opened.
Delete "Fetch" and download it again from
the App Store.I did it ... Delete and Download ... but can't be open "Fetch".
Please quickly discover the problem!

I'm having the exact same issue. Have deleted and reinstalled several times. On two separate computers. I've tried all the troubleshooting methods I can think of.
I'm a freelance editor and today I'm suppose to receive videos and music to edit with a tight window to get this done. If anyone comes across the solution please be sure to post it here. Want all of us with this problem to be able to continue with what we do in a timely manner.
Thanks!

This thread is also about this issue: http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/messageboard/failure-to-launch-message-says-broken
Seems to be a problem with the app store.
Jim Matthews (from Fetch) suggests in the meantime using a trial version, which is what I've done for today:

Same thing happening to me today. I've trashed and re-installed 4 times. I've also rebooted my Mac once.
Anyone know when it will be fixed?
Thanks for the trial version Rachel, will try that in the meantime.

I'm in contact with people at Apple who hopefully can implement a solution, but I can't say when that will be.
Thanks for your patience,

Having the same issue across both of the accounts that we use to update our sites. Do you all have a suggestion of what or program to use in the meantime? You're help is appreciated.
Thank You,
Adrian

you can download a free 15-day trial copy of Fetch from
http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/download/latest
It should work without a serial number. Please let me know if you have any problems using the trial copy while the App Store situation is straightened out.
Thank you for your patience,

Jim,
Will our feeds and credentials transfer with this version? Assuming this is your newer version, will we loose access to our current set up when this issue is resolved?

You should keep your shortcuts when switching between the App Store and website versions; let me know if you don't.

Thanks Jim! This works. All shortcuts still here and setup is running.
Exactly the same issue here, on MacOS Yosemite 10.10.5 and Fetch 5.7.5.
Yesterday everything was fine, today Fetch isn't working any more.
How come? o.O -

I don't know exactly what happened, but there are reports that one of Apple's digital certificates expired yesterday, which broke the Mac App Store. Some apps that were broken yesterday are working today, while others (including Fetch) are not, so whatever Apple did to fix the initial problem has not fixed all of the problem.
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

While waiting for someone to fix this problem, I went ahead and downloaded FlashFTP from the App store. It isn't as easy to use as Fetch, but will work as a backup. Of course, your Fetch shortcuts don't work with FlashFTP. I posted some instructions on the FlashFTP web site since it doesn't come with any instructions. David Pitts

Fetch is working again. I trashed the old copy and went to my purchases on the App store and downloaded the new one. Thanks for whomever fixed the certificate or whatever the problem was.

Thanks for that report, David. I, too, just downloaded a copy of Fetch from the App Store that opened successfully. So it may be that the problem has been fixed.
I'll keep investigating, and will post an update when I know more.
Thanks,

I've used fetch for years. Tonight it appeared to be damaged. So I went back in time machine and found the old version and replaced the "damaged one". Same message. I downloaded the Feb 8, 2015 version and got the same message. Restarted the Maverick (10.9.5) system Mac computer and got the same message. Any ideas?
Thanks!
