    I am new to fetch. I see that it has an option in the preferences to translate file and "folder" names. I don't see how to specify the characters that need translating. I need to translate < > ( ) = ? : ; " * / and |. I have found that at least "," is not translated.

    There is currently no way to specify how you would like file names translated. The "Encode file and folder names" option translates /, % and high-bit characters.
