I am unable to "get" files from the website. Fetch 'runs' but then many minutes later I get the error message - file transfer server has shut down.

Not sure where to go from here.

After you dismiss the error message I would choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the contents of the window that appears. It may contain clues to a solution.

    Thanks,

I would try unchecking "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences. Also, go into the Sharing pane of System Preferences and make sure that the OS X firewall is turned off.

    Thanks,
