We tried to make the post-processing and suffix mapping features more convenient in Fetch 5 by moving them to the Get Info window (instead of forcing you to scroll through long lists). So if you select a .zip file, click Get Info, and uncheck the "Automatically decode files like this" checkbox Fetch will stop decoding .zip files.
This is mentioned in the "Fetch 5 for Fetch 4 users" help topic, which I highly recommend to Fetch 4 users upgrading to Fetch 5.
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

Ahhh... I see now. I'll test that tonight during a low-traffic period. RTFM? You must be kidding. ;)
Thanks for the help,

Fetch SoftworksThere still needs to be a way to disable post processing for ALL file types easily. Maybe an option in preferences or something. It's too laborious to have to find one of each type of file on a server, Get Info on it, and uncheck that box! There has toi be a better way.

Jim, you finally got OpenVMS support going again. Thanks! However, I just started really using Fetch this last evening and ran into another big problem: post-processing options.
I download large ZIP files from my server for archival. In the previous version of Fetch, I could disable the post-processing of ZIPs that would otherwise unzip them. That behavior seems to have gone away. NOT GOOD! I Need those ZIP files unchanged.
HELP!
