Folder Get Info does not reaveal Ownership and Permissions tab (2 posts)

  Hi,
  I'm trying to give someone else access to put a file up into a folder on my site using FTP, and when I click Get Info on the folder to set permissions, I don't see "Ownership and Permissions" anywhere. Do I have to enable something to get this option?

  Hi,

  Some servers don't support setting permissions using an FTP client like Fetch. I would try refreshing the file list, and then selecting the folder and clicking the Get Info button again. If that doesn't work you probably need to use a different tool to change the permissions, such as the hosting company's web panel.
