if i take an mp3 file and upload it to a server and then take it back down to the desktop it will not play or be recognized as an mp3, even though the file still ends in the mp.3 tag.

i couldn't figure out why this was happening (the file was a bit smaller too, once it was downloaded). then i looked inside suffix mappings and saw that there really is no built in mp3 option. i added one and now the files are fine.

on another note, the one new server i am using with the error messages i listed before also gives me error message number -3155. what does that mean?

Thanks for pointing out the missing .mp3 mapping; I'll make sure to add one.

-3155 means that Fetch and Open Transport got out of sync about something. Can you make this error show up on demand?
