Hi Robert,
Thanks for upgrading to Fetch 5, and thanks for the feedback!
In regards to this one:
2. setting permissions - I like the chmod numbers, but I would like to keep my hands on the keyboard longer by defaulting the cursor to that field and able to hit ENTER or RETURN to Apply AND Close dialog (I like the feature to just add the number...much faster!!!)
If you close the "Name and Extension" pane of the info window (by clicking the triangle next to the words "Name and Extension"), the next time you bring up the info window, the permissions field will be selected by default, because it will be the only edit field in the window. (Otherwise, you can press the Tab key to select the Permissions field.)
And while I realize you're saying you'd like it to happen all in one step, I just wanted to make sure you knew that you can change the permissions and close the window without your hands leaving the keyboard - enter the new permissions, press Return (or Enter) to Apply them, and then Command-W to close the info window.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

I used 4.0.3 before finally upgrading to 5.2.
Of using only a subset of features, daily, here's what I can say right now (I can't remember all my side comments while using the SW):
1. setting permissions - takes longer to open (more code?).
2. setting permissions - I like the chmod numbers, but I would like to keep my hands on the keyboard longer by defaulting the cursor to that field and able to hit ENTER or RETURN to Apply AND Close dialog (I like the feature to just add the number...much faster!!!)
3. customize shortcuts to select favorites. Again, I like keeping my hands on the KB more than ever, especially when you do things repetitively.
that's if for tonight...have to get back to work!
BTW, I tried Anarchy and Transmit on the Mac years ago, and I'm still a lover of good 'ol Fetch.
Thanks,
Robert
