Hi,
It looks like there is a problem with your account on the server - you should contact the people or company who run the server (your hosting company) for assistance.
According to the transcript, in the server said "There are some changes needed on your account. Please log into your control panel before proceeding." So doing that might be sufficient, but if you don't know what that means, you should contact the server's support and ask what you're supposed to do.
Please let us know if you have further questions after talking to them.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Hi,
I am a student in India and I just wanted to get a file from my schools ftp profile "ftp.aditya.com" and I am using the inbult ftp function on my desktop. When I connected by typing "open ftp.aditya.com", it replyed "connected to ftp.aditya.com"; "Login required:" I typed Anonymous but after the whole username and password process it replayed the connection was closed by the remote host.
I want to know what can be done in that situation?
Thankyou, I hope you will reply soon. -

within fetch, try connecting again, then once you encounter the same problem, select fetch transcript under window and see what it says. you can usually figure out what the problem is by reading through the info.

Hi Ad,
This sounds like a problem with the server. You should contact the people who run the school's FTP server. They can either look into the problem with the server, or tell you what the correct username and password to use are.
(Thanks for the assist, Cordelia - that's good advice, but it doesn't sound like Ad is using Fetch.)
Best,

Fetch could not get the file list because the FTP server sent an unexpected response. (Check the Fetch Transcript window for more information.
Server responded: “PWD: Permission denied”)
Thank you!
