Hi,
I would try the following to see if it fixes the problem:
* Go to the Fetch menu, and choose Preferences.
* Click the Obscure tab.
* Check the "Do not send ADAT probe command" checkbox.Try connecting again.

I haven't experienced a 'connection to "..." could not be opened etc., before.
The transcript log is as follows:

do I have a setting incorrect. Any help appreciated.
