FTP with TLS/SSL login (2 posts)

Hi! Our web host updated the server and it now requires to log into FTP using TLS/SSL. But for the life of me, can't get it to work with Fetch. In FileZilla, I had to change hostname to "sftp://mydomain.com" and the new port and that worked, but that does not work with Fetch. When I type sftp://mydomain.com as the hostname, it reverts to just the domain and changes TLS/SSL to SFTP, which also does not work. Leaving the domain as the hostname also doesn't work with TLS/SSL.

This is on a cPanel server.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

You should only enter the "mydomain.com" part in the Hostname field, and set the Connect using menu to "FTP with TLS/SSL". If that doesn't work, please contact me at https://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/feedback with the contents of the Fetch Transcript window (after trying to connect).

    Thanks,
