    Any ideas what this error means? I've been successfully transferring files to my server, but at some point along the way, I get this error message. Does it have anything to do with disc space?

    227 Entering Passive Mode
    Making data connection
    STOR index.html
    125 Data connection already open; Transfer starting.
    Unsuccessful transfer of index.html (8,996/8,982 bytes, 0 bytes/sec, 0:00 elapsed) stopped at 3/3/08 12:20:49 PM (error: 1,54)
    ftp_store_close: 1,54 (state == RPUT_CLOSING)
    ABOR
    426 Connection closed; transfer aborted.
    225 ABOR command successful.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    If you are always getting that error when you try to upload, regardless of which file you try to upload, then yes, most likely you are out of space in your account on the server, and you should try to delete some old files to make more room, if possible. If it is not possible, you should contact the folks who run the server to see if you can get more space.

    If you are getting the error intermittently - that is, you can't upload index.html the first time you try, but the next time you try it works, then the errors may be being caused by problems with the server or possibly your network connection. If you connect to the server wirelessly or through a router that share your internet connection with several other computers, you should try connecting your Mac directly to your cable/DSL modem, and see if that fixes the problem.

    Let us know if you have more questions.

    Thanks,

    Thanks for the quick response, Scott. I'm able to upload index.html after removing one file from the server. So I'm pretty sure it's a space issue. I've contacted my server admin to see what the deal is. I should have plenty of space available.

    thanks again.
