getting Error -39 (4 posts)

    When trying to put a file using Mac Binary III I get the error message -39.

    Have not been able to find any info on Fetch error messages?

    Can anyone help?

    That error means "end of file" -- programs get it when they unexpectedly reach the end of a file. Could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after trying to upload?

    I am also getting error -39 when I try to upload this. Here is the contents of my Fetch Transcript:

    200 Using MacBinary mode to transfer files.
    PORT 192,168,1,100,149,225
    200 PORT OK, IP address 66.126.109.223 port 38369
    STOR abbeville-36310.php
    150 Opening data connection.
    upload: -39 (state == RPUT_SENDING)
    ABOR

    After some poking around, I solved the problem by setting the Mode and the Format both to "text."
