Hi,
Could you please tell a little more about what you're trying to do? Are they web files you trying to view with a web browser? Or files you want others to download with an FTP client?
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Hi Scott, thanks for replying...
I designd a website in Dreamweaver and now I need to post it to my hosting site I bought from GoDaddy. So I was able to open Fetch to my account, then I proceeded put all my files in Fetch. I'm just wondering if I have my files named wrong, or if I'm missing a step. Because I go to my web addres in FireFox browser and it comes up as not in use. So am I not copying something over properly? -

Hi,
It's most likely something is not named correctly, or a file or file(s) in the wrong location. Do you have a file named index.html? Your "front page" or the main page of the website - the one you want users to see first - needs to be be named index.html .
If you've already got a file named index.html, if you could send us two pieces of information, we'll take a look and try to figure out what the problem is:
(1) The address of your website.
(2) The list of files Fetch sees on your website. To send us this, quit Fetch, then open it again, and connect to your website. Then choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu, copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them here. Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Ok, I did NOT have my main page as index.html, so I went and changed it and recopied it.
What is my next step?

Hey Scott, I got the site to come up in my browser, I was messing around with it as I watited for your response. But now, I have some photos that show up and some don't. Is this another file name thing? Do I need to go into my web design program and recreate save it? Any suggestions.

Hi,
Glad to hear it's at least partly showing up!
Without seeing your website, I can't say why the photos don't show up or not. If you send the address (URL), I'll take a look and see if I can figure it out.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Hi,
Sorry, I cannot figure out what is going on from the website alone.
I don't know if you've done this, but you should not rearrange or rename files before you upload them or after you upload them; they should be named and organized exactly as they are when they work properly in Dreamweaver.
If you send me the list of files by doing the following, I may be able to see where the problem lies:
Quit Fetch, then open it again, and connect to your website. Then choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu, copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them here.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Hi,
It looks like the reason you're getting missing graphics is because the images the webpage is looking for aren't all on the server.
For instance, your index.html file is looking for image files named "troops-bar.gif", "logo-.gif", and "puppies.gif", among others, and those are not on the server. Do you have files with those names on your Mac?
I would try making sure everything works properly in Dreamweaver (make sure that you have the renamed your main page index.html locally), and then uploading all your files again, and see if that fixes the problem.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Ok, thanks I'll try that.

I'm the new at learning how Fetch works. Ok, I uploaded all my files to Fetch, I put them randomly in my server. Now what, how do I get it to view online? Is there a magic button I'm suppose to push?
