Every time I download multiple files an external application is launched to process the files, quite annoying. Not sure if this is fetch preference or an OS X feature.

I'm trying to download hundreds of php files, and stuffit expander and Dreamweaver MX always attempt to process each file. You can imagine how many pop-up windows start to appear when expander realizes it's not a recognizable file type.

    Any advice would be appreciated

You should choose "Post-processing..." from the Customize menu and disable the UUencode action. That action sends all BBEdit files to StuffIt Expander, and probably accounts for the problem you're seeing.

    Thanks,
