when i add my pdf file to my website, it shows up on the actual website in directory format. Is there a way to do this so that when you go to my website, you immediately get the document (instead of the directories) ?
maft.biz is the website, thx for any help on this :P

    Hi,

In general, the only thing that webservers will automatically display is an HTML file named index.html or index.htm ; if you have an index.html file, the website will display that instead of a directory.

I am not sure if you could get a web server to automatically display a PDF or not; this is a question you'd need to ask your web hosting provider. (Renaming the PDF to index.html will not work.)

In general you cannot embed PDF files in webpages, like you can embed JPEG files. One possible solution would be to save your PDF (since it's a single page) as a JPEG file, and then create an index.html file that displays that JPEG.

We are not web authoring experts, so there may be other solutions as well that we are not aware of; you may want to find a forum on web authoring for further advice.
