How to forward ftp url links from Fetch? (2 posts)

  I have a client who insists that I send her folder ftp/url links via email (to her own ftp server) so that she can drag files to her desktop without using an ftp utility. She has sent me links in this manner and they appear to include a username and password. Is there a way to create an email link from within Fetch to share a folder or file on an ftp server via email?

  Hi,

  You can use the Copy Fetch Address command in the Edit menu to copy an item's FTP URL to the clipboard. However, for security the password won't be included. The URL will look like:

  ftp://username:@hostname/path

  If you like you can type the password between the : and @.
