I am new to "FETCH" and purchased the "MAC OS X" understanding that it was supposed to be better working with websites, etc. Having read through most of the blogs, I can't find how to download an .HTML page from my server, modify it, and re-upload it to the server. Please advise, I'm getting frustrated

Additional info.....when I used MS systems, I had to access through the FTP. Even though I can still see all the .html pages via FETCH, do I still need an FTP? If so, which one will work for a MAC?

    Hi,

Fetch is an FTP client, so you have the right program.

First, I would recommend getting a program for editing your HTML pages, such as TextWrangler (http://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler), a free download from Bare Bones Software.

Then, select the file you want to edit in Fetch, and click the Edit button. Fetch will download the file and open it in TextWrangler. When you've made your changes, choose Save from the File menu. Then Fetch will upload the modified file back to the server.

    I hope this helps,
