When I access my Windows box, which uses WAR-FTPD as an ftp client, Fetch displays a question mark for the icon of folders and for text files that do not have a .txt suffix. Files downloaded from our Bull mainrame do not have a suffix and I COULD rename the files, but it is inconvenient to do that for all of them.

Is there a way to "teach" fetch to recognize 1 - no suffix files, and
    2 - directories/folders?

    TIA

If Fetch does not recognize a suffix it uses the defaults set in the Download section of Preferences, so you can set them the way you want no-suffix files to be handled.

As for directories and folders, most FTP servers use a list format that distinguishes them from files. It sounds like WAR-FTPD doesn't.
