  Hello,
  I am trying to FTP to a IIS server and it is not working. I can't get to the root folder on the website. I can use same info for a Linux kernel server and it is fine.

  Someone else using same login info on a PC using Microsoft Commuicator (?) works fine on this IIS server.

  I'm on a MAC

  Hi,

  It could be that the server's FTP software does not permit access to the website root (I don't think Microsoft Communicator is an FTP client, so presumably it's connecting to the server using a different protocol). I would talk to the server administrator about the machine's FTP configuration.
