intermittent problems FTP'ing (3 posts)

    Hello. A colleague is having intermittent problems with his Fetch 3.0.3 client.

    These problems consist of:

    1)logging onto server but getting no root or file info.

    2) Transfer hangs, intermittent but regularly, and file on server is 0 bytes. An error message appears stating 'Cannot open data connection'

    Any ideas what the problem can be?

    I would recommend that the client upgrade to Fetch 4.0.1. If that does not solve the problem, the next step would be to send the contents of the Fetch Transcript window to support@fetchsoftworks.com the next time she sees either problem.

    Try setting your FTP protocol to "passive mode"
