    Hello,
As a longtime Fetch user, I'm wondering if you're planning an iPhone version. The FTP clients I've seen so far have major drawbacks. Is it hard to build a decent FTP client/html file editor for that platform? Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for being a longtime Fetch user!

We're not currently planning an iPhone version, but we'd be interested to hear what FTP tasks you would like to perform on your iPhone, so that if we do decide to work on one, we know what features are most important to customers.

    Thanks,

I wouldn't expect a lot from an iPhone app. Simple two-way FTP transfers, and the ability to edit HTML/PHP files and send them back intact. That's been the sticking point for current iPhone FTP apps--they can transfer apps, but one I tried erased HTML files after allowing me to edit them, and the other removes all the tabs and formatting you put in, creating long lines that become hard to read when you get back to your desktop's editor. So I guess the proper editing, which would allow me to administer sites for simple changes while out of the office, would be the key.

    Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions and feedback. I've filed them in our suggestions database, and if we decide to work on Fetch for the iPhone, we'll keep them in mind!

Also a long long time fetch user.
An iPhone client would really be helpful.
I would see this as a tool that would free up my time, allowing me to leave the office with the confidence that I could fix client problems if they popped up.
For the feature set, simply look at "FTP to go", but do it right!
Allow me to make text edits without losing all of my line breaks and tabs.
You probably couldn't charge more than $10, but there is nothing good on the market, so you could sell bunches.

I'll use cdinca's note to repeat my request for a fetch for iPhone. The features would be what cdinca said-- 2-way FTP with text editing that maintains formatting. You can look at the reviews in the app store to see there is a market, and it's not being filled. Thanks.
