It looks like the proxy settings have become corrupted. To fix them:
1) Choose Preferences... from the Fetch menu
2) Click on the Firewall tab
3) Set the Proxy Type pop-up menu to "None"
4) Click OKLet me know if that does not fix the problem.
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

Thanks - however when I go into preferences, for some reason I can't get into any of the other categories in there. I click on the buttons and nothing happens.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Nothing happens when you click the tabs (such as General, Download, Upload, Firewall, etc.)? I've never heard of that problem. I would try restarting your computer.

Yes, that's correct - I open the preferences and try clicking on General, Download, Upload, Firewall, etc, and nothing happens. I've never heard of it either. I've tried restarting my computer and its still happening.
What else can I try? I'm really stuck here. I'm having problems with cuteFTP also. Between the two, I can't upload files to my web site. The only thing that works is if I switch to system 9 and connect with dial-up and use an old version of Fetch.
But I've got some sort of problem in system 10 that prevents me from launching 9 (classic) while running 10. So I have to restart in 9 to upload.
But I bought your software and really need it to work as its supposed to.
Maybe I need to reinstall system 10? Is it possible to do that without losing all the stuff I have already (software installs, email, browser bookmarks, preferences, network setup, etc, etc, etc, etc.....)?
Thanks in advance for your help!

If you re-install OS X and choose either "Upgrade" or "Archive and Install" your current preferences should be preserved. Don't choose "Erase and Install" as that will wipe the disk clean.
