Hi,
Fetch is not involved in deciding whether your login information is correct or not; Fetch sends what you type as your username and password to the server specified by the hostname field, and either the server says it's okay, and allows Fetch to connect; or the server rejects the login and sends back an error message, which Fetch then reports to you.
So, either there is a problem with the information you're entering, or there is a problem with the server. I'm afraid the best we can suggest is that you contact the hosting provider again and have them double-check the information again (double-check that you have the correct hostname, as well as username and password), and ask them to make sure there's not a problem with your account on the server.

I've double checked with my username and password for the host provider (wavenetworks) and when i enter them into fetch, it tells me "server responded: login incorrect"
maybe i'm entering the hostname incorrectly, here's what i've entered.
hostname: ftp.wavenetworks.com
username: ********
connect using: FTP
password: ********
i'd appreciate any help. thanks.
