losing preferences (3 posts)

    Every time I launch Fetch 4.0 on my Mac G4 with OS 9.0.4 I have to reenter my Firewall information. I thought I could create a workaround by writing a script that would copy a workable preference file into my system folder's preference folder before I launched Fetch but that did not seem to help. And actually when I went into the preference file with BBedit it was blank.
    Does anyone know an answer to this annoying problem.

    I would suggest unchecking the "Use Internet Config" box in the General section of Preferences. Does that help?
