Mac error 609 using Fetch (4 posts)

  I repeatedly get a Mac error 609 when uploading with Fetch; I have to hit the edit button and second time to get it to work. Is there a fix for this?

  Hi,

  It sounds like Fetch is getting an error when it tries to launch your editor. What editor are you using? Does it help to open it before you click Edit in Fetch?

  I am using Smultron 5; would like to use Smultron 8, but don't know where to change that. And I don't see where to open it before I click on Edit. Sorry, I am a newbie at this.

  Hi,

  To change which editor to use:

  1) Select the file in the Fetch file list
  2) Click the Get Info button in the toolbar
  3) Under Transfer Options set the Edit files like this with: menu to Smultron 8

  To open Smultron 8 before editing a file, find the Smultron 8 icon in the Finder (e.g. in the Applications folder) and double-click it.
