Mac is automatically stuffing files for uploading (2 posts)

I've just helped an associate install Fetch on his computer to upload audio files to our website. When he drags an aif file to the upload window, it apparently is stuffing it. When we look at the file on a (pardon the expression) windows machine, we see the .sitx extension. I've never had this on any of my Macs .... any idea how we can keep this from happening.

    Hi,

While Fetch has the capabilities to automatically stuff files on upload, it shouldn't be doing that for AIFF files.

What program are you using to create the files? And would you be willing to send one of the files so we can investigate the problem?

    If so, please contact:

    bugs at fetchsoftworks dot com

along with the short description of the problem that you posted here. We'll look into it.

In the meantime, you can work around it by doing the following: before you upload, go to the Remote menu, choose the Format submenu, and then choose Binary (Raw Data). Then upload the audio files, and they will not be stuffed.

But if you can please contact us and send us a sample file so that we can fix the problem, we'd appreciate it.

    Thanks,
