I downloaded Fetch this afternoon and I got the error message which was macOs error -982
My MacBook Pro is Sierra 10.12.6 and Fetch is 5.7.6 version. I restarted my Mac and fetch but it still shows that error message. Furthermore, I reinstalled my MacOS but it still shows that message..... I wasted my time... please do something for me.

    Hi,

That is an error from the macOS keychain. Please do the following to check for and repair problems with the keychain:

    * Quit Fetch, if it's running.
    * In the Finder, choose Utilities from the Go menu
    * Open the Disk Utility application
    * Select the startup disk in the list on the left
    * Click the "First Aid" button, and then the Run button
    * Once it's done, try Fetch again.

Let me know if you're still having problems after doing this.

    Thanks,

I am getting Mac OS error -2147409622
I tried the disk first aid thing… no luck. Still getting error.
I CAN enter everything manually every time (which is nuts with a secure password)… but would love to be able to keychain the password.

Pretty sure this IS keychain thing, as I can save a setting without the password, and it works (though it will not save the port number no matter what). Ran the disk first aid several times.

    Ideas?

    Hi Erik,

What version of OS X are you running? And what port number are you trying to save?

    Thanks,

My error on Mac is also 25293

5 months ago you advised someone to do the following. For me, this did not enable Fetch to open.

    Another fix possible? Thanks.

Just saw this. Not sure why I didn't see it 2 months ago. Anyhow, I updated to 10.13.5 and it saves the password now. That may have been it for me.

    Hi MetroEco,

What version of macOS are you running? Do you have the iCloud keychain feature enabled (if you go to the iCloud panel in System Preferences, is the Keychain entry checked)?

    Thanks,

I have spent the last 4 hours trying to get Fetch to work, and I keep getting error 25293. I did the first suggestion of disc utility, first aid on the file twice, and still get the same problem. Then I went into iCloud preferences and now can't even get that to open. Keychain wasn't checked, so I checked it, but then it became unchecked. This iCloud thing drives me nuts. Now I can't even get in there, even with my password. I am running Sierra 10.12.6 and Fetch Version 5.4.7. My saved shortcut to Fetch Softworks works fine, but nothing else. I even re-installed Fetch, and trashed the previous one. Thanks for anything you can do.

    With best regards,
    Tony

    Hi,

The other suggestion I would make is to open Keychain Access (found in the Utilities folder) and lock and unlock your login keychain.

If that does not work I would contact Apple (by phone, or make a Genius Bar appointment if there's a nearby Apple Store).

    Thanks,

I am having the same problem suddenly. Tried uninstalling Fetch, unlocking the keychain, and running the disk utility. But still getting Mac OS error -25293. I can't edit my shortcuts and I can't access them either.

    Hi lollo,

My only other suggestion would be to try unchecking and checking Keychain in the iCloud System Preferences pane. If that doesn't help I would contact Apple.

    Thanks,
