I'm running Fetch 5.6 on my iMac using Mac OS X 10.6.4.

When I click on the edit icon, I get the message that "...an error has occurred.
    Mac OS error -10828.

    Hi,

    I would try the following:

    * Select the file you're trying to edit.
    * Click the Get Info button, or choose Remote > Get Info .
    * Click the disclosure triangle next to the Transfer Options label at the bottom of the info window to display the Transfer Options pane, if it's not already displayed.
    * Look at the pop-up menu labeled "Edit files like this with". Does the application selected make sense, that is, is the application you want to use for editing this file?
    * If not, click the menu and choose the desired application. If the desired application is not listed, choose the Other item and select the desired application.

Let us know if that helps; or if the correct application is selected already, please tell us what kind of file you're trying to edit, and which application you're trying to use, and we'll investigate further.

    Thanks,

That worked for me! I had upgraded my edit application, which included a small change in the name, and the old app no longer existed.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hi Gil,

Thanks for the confirmation. I've filed a bug ticket requesting that we provide a better error message for this error code.
