Mac OSX: Connecting w/Firewall (2 posts)

    I can't connect to any FTP servers while my OSX firewall is on. The FAQ suggests to check "on" Passive mode transfers in Preferences--which I have--but I still just stare at the running dog while Fetch bumbles around trying to connect.

    How can I ensure connections while the OSX Firewall is on?

    FYI: I'm using Fetch 4.0.3

    Try connecting to ftp.fetchsoftworks.com (leave the User ID and Password fields blank). If that doesn't work, post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window (choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu to reveal it).
