Hi,
Unfortunately, Apple has not released the update yet, sorry. We're as eager for it as you...
Watch for the Mac OS X 10.4.8 update from Apple, we believe that will contain the fix. And we'll update the information on the Fetch Softworks home page once the update has been released.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Umm...I'm running a Mac Pro with OS X 10.4.7, and Fetch 5.1 works fine. However before running 5.1 I had installed one Apple EFI ROM update that came out around mid Sep2006, and my ROM is MP11.005C.B01, so maybe that corrected the problem.

Hi,
The Mac Pros have shipped with two different versions of 10.4.7, one of which had a bug that causes Fetch to crash when making connections.
The first batch of Mac Pros shipped with Mac OS X 10.4.7 Build 8K1079, which includes the bug that causes Fetch to crash. More recent Mac Pros are shipping with Mac OS X 10.4.7 Build 8K1124, which fixes the bug, but wasn't available as a software update. (The firmware updates released in September do not fix the problem.)
Fortunately, Mac OS X 10.4.8 has been released, and that fixes the bug for all Mac Pro users.
There is also a problem that can cause the Fetch widget to crash on Mac Pros, and we will be releasing an update for Fetch shortly to fix that.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Hi,
We have released Fetch 5.1.1, which fixes a widget crash on Mac Pros. You can get it from http://fetchsoftworks.com .
Together with the Mac OS X 10.4.8 update from Apple, Fetch 5.1.1 should run without problem (and natively) on all Mac Pros.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Can I use 5.1 yet?
"The new Mac Pro shipped with a bug that keeps Fetch 5.1 from working. We have been told by Apple engineering that this bug will be fixed in a forthcoming system update. In the meantime we advise Mac Pro users to download Fetch 5.0.5."
